Halo Reach Xbox

haloreach360We’ve had the Xbox 360s out recently, a 4GB version out in August and now a new Halo Reach Limited Edition version of the console in September – a new Xbox every month it seems!

The limited edition is damn sight much better looking than the mess released alongside Halo 3 and comes with Halo Reach, 2 limited edition controllers, DLC armour codes, an episode of the Halo Legends anime and a themed headset. Excitingly, the console also features sound effects from the Halo universe – monks chanting away when you open the disc drive?

The console features the standard features found in the Xbox 360s – 250gb Hard Disc and built in WiFi – and will be available for £249.99 from GAME and GameStation.

New Xbox 360

Xbox360Microsoft concluded their E3 press conference with the unveiling of a redesigned Xbox 360 which will be available this week in the USA and from mid July in the UK. The system packs a 250gb hard drive, built in WiFi and will cost £199. Microsoft had a good start to the conference with some amazing footage of Call Of Duty Black Ops, Metal Gear Solid Rising and Halo Reach but it soon descended into a string of Kinect demos with hilarious overacting. Nothing too surprising on show apart from the news of an exclusive game from Crytek which looks inspired by God Of War, and still no price for Kinect. Internet reaction to the show has not been kind, while some journalists that were they gave iyt a thumbs up – anything to do with getting one of the redesigned free Xboxes as they left the building? Judge for yourself, the full video is below:

NIER – The Review

NIER1

Well this is a very pleasant surprise. I did not have high hopes for NIER at all. It is always a worry when a Japanese developer tries to make a game to appeal to us in the West. Initial signs were not good for NIER, with lots of bloody violence, macho characters and swearing featured in trailers. Heck, there is even a hermaphrodite in there. So I was shocked to find that I got sucked into the game, enjoying the story and having a ball in the company of the non-playable characters. Read on to find out more about the game that is sure to be a cult classic.
