Horrors Ov Nature: SnakeHead Horror

Back in the dark days of ElectricSpectre we used to do a weekly thing called ‘Horros Ov Nature’ which were, umm, horrible nature type things.

Even though the new improved ES is more of a video game blog than a place where we drop links to picture of Cthulhu, we think we need to bring it back.

So – stare upon a disembodied snake head still trying to kill all those around it. Sleep well.

Crocodiles in sewers, claw-handed killers, Land Shark- and now, another urban legend turns out to be terrifyingly true: Toilet Snake!

Despite sounding like an overly-complicated cleaning product/sexual practice, the Taiwanese Toilet Snake has been up to his slippery tricks again, this time hiding down the U-bend before nipping hapless pee-er, from Nantou County, right on the family jewels. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and seems to be ok, a giggling hospital director informed us:

“As soon as he has passed the risk of infection, he can go -A snake’s mouth isn’t always clean.”

And that ladies, is why we always leave the toilet seat up.

Snakes Alive!

How did you spend your Easter weekend? Eating chocolate eggs? Watching TV? Just thank the serpent god Set that you aren’t Ben Nyaumbe, a farm worker from Malindi in Kenya – who spent his battling a giant python! This particular Horror Ov Nature took a liking to Mr. Nyaumbe after he accidentally stood on it, deciding to drag the hapless victim up a tree before attempting to eat him.

Local police intervened when Nyaumbe managed to reach his mobile phone and call for help, but couldn’t shoot the serpent for fear of hitting the victim. After a titanic battle (probably), Nyaumbe managed to escape by biting the beast on the tail. Police captured the snake, and decided to keep it locked up..in a room with a large gap under the door.

Needles to say, the reptilian terror was soon at large again. We are still seriously looking for the snake,” said local Police Superintendant Peter Katam. “We want to arrest the snake because any one of us could fall a victim.”
