Final Fantasy fans were left hanging over the Bank Holiday with the announcement that the Final Fantasy XIV PC Beta was postponed, with no new date announced. The good news is that the launch niggles have been sorted and the Beta will begin tomorrow, Thursday the 2nd of September, at 2am. NO SLEEPS FOR YOU TONIGHT. To get registration codes get yourself set up at http://entry.ffxiv.com. Would love to see you there but my laptop would probably have steam bellowing out trying to run it!
You wait ages for a new Final Fantasy game and then two come along in the same year. MMO Final Fantasy XIV will be available to buy this year – if you are a PC owner. The game hits the PC in September, with the PS3 version arriving much later in March 2011, which is a bit of a shame for the fans who eagerly entered their registration codes packed in with Final Fantasy XIII to get into the BETA. Now while the game is officially out on September 30th, you can get in a week earlier if you stump up the cash for the Special Edition – very clever Square-Enix. Read on to find out what is in the special edition, and how you can get involved in the July PC BETA.
Looking for a unique fixer-upper opportunity? How about a bloody great space station? You may not have considered the unique pleasure of owning five bio-domes (each full of easily hunt-and-kill-able alien species), a bar selling weird alien booze, and even an..erm..auctioneer…but with this gigantic trade and revival station you can have it all!
Only one short year after the original game as well. Frankly it’s all a bit cheeky considering how the exciting new campaigns and weapons would work perfectly well as downloadable content, but I guess Valve did some focus-group testing and discovered kids were just as eager to pay full game price for that extra content.
