Microsoft has been trying their hardest to fight against the growing threat of Google and their next stage of attack is an alternative to Google Maps, and as you can see in this video it is really rather cool! IT will be interesting to see how Google counters this, we have already seen the Google Image search engine go under a major overhaul in the past week which makes it more like Microsoft’s Bing image search. Look out for a Microsoft Maps camera car in your street soon.

Newsgush: Bill Gates joins Twitter

Microsoft, I remember when you used to be cool.
Well, not cool, but evil at least! With your big, lumbering, expensive, horrible products and your total disdain for the average Joe who just wants to set up his wireless internet. But never mind all that. Now we’ve learned via Pocketlint that Bill Gates, figurehead of Microsoft despite being several years retired – is on Twitter and making himself (and by extension Microsoft) look all cuddly and approachable.

It’s going to be massive, it’s going to sell millions. At worst it’s going to be passable, at best it could be genre-defining.
Not many games are really afforded the luxury of selling fantastically well despite how good they actually are. A bad game can be made to sell via a major PR effort, (a la Kane and Lynch) but it’s hard to begrudge Square Enix their inevitable success, because Read More
