Bathing Suit Bigotry

In our rare forrays into celebrity gossip,we’ve commented before on the stupidity of beauty queens these days, and it seems Miss California is no exception. In recent statements she provoked the flaming wrath of Perez Hilton by stating that Gay Marriage was ‘Abhorrant’, and now seems set to take things up a notch by making an anti-gay advert.
This is because Perez is stupid enough (Yes, I am openly criticising him on the internet, I have nothing to lose)to ask Miss California what she thinks about gay marriage(like anyone cares). Rather than what her favourite colour is, or if she prefers kittens or puppies. According to CNN:
Carrie Prejean, the Miss USA contestant from California who declared her opposition to same-sex marriage on the pageant stage, will star in a new $1.5 million ad campaign funded by the National Organization for Marriage… According to the group, the ad will call “gay marriage advocates to account for their unwillingness to debate the real issue: gay marriage has consequences.”
Electric Spectre takes the view that you can do what you like, as long as someone gets hurt/offended/pregnant in the process, and there are a fair few extra-marital activities I’d be willing to foist on young Ms.Cali, so we are backing the camp camp on this one.
