A drunk bear

We’re Back! Yep, welcome to your all-new, all still bloody stupid, all awesome Electric Spectre! And just in time too….

Generally any booze that arrives in the ES office lasts about 4 minutes, so we sympathise with Scotch peddlers Whyte & Mackey, who recently decided to relaunch McKinley and Co. , a Scotch that’s been defunct for most of the last century. W & M obviously want to check their new version tastes the same, so are looking for a sample..in the Antarctic.

Ever wonder why dogs are banned from buying alcohol? The ES theory is that they will hog the pool table, which is why you get warning signs depicting this in pubs.

When you spend as much time drinking in SoHo as Electric Spectre, any excuse for free booze is more than welcome, so big kudos to fancy-schmansy alcopop merchants Bompas & Parr, and their new venture in ‘alcoholic architecture’ -air that gets you drunk! Yep, get yo’ hipster ass down to Jellymongers, where, dressed in a polythene jumpsuit, you are cordially (ahem) invited to ‘breath responsibly’, as an alcohol laced mist fills your lungs – 40 minutes deep breathing equating roughly to a large Gin&Tonic.

As well as the spirit laced oxygen, there’s a single green bulb lighting the place, stewards with gasmasks, and muffled, thumping bass. Welcome to the official Electric Spectre bar!

Superjuice - Ultrabooze

And I thought I got drunk sometimes…
A high alcohol content home-brew made in Manitoba First Nations, Canada has been causing problems for it’s drinkers, because it will make you drunker than was ever thought possible. Made with something called ’superyeast’ It is still fermenting after it has been consumed. It’s a gift that keeps on giving!

“A lot of the times you can hear them screaming in the police holding cells (because) the stuff is still fermenting in their stomach”

Screaming? OK, not as much fun as previously thought…Maybe it should be mixed with jenkem for a truly fucked up experience.
