You have the Come Dine With Me book and CD, why not grab the app? You plan your own party, send invites, select your menu from a hundred recipes, post scores on Facebook and listen to Dave Lamb quotes.  The app is available now from the iTunes store for £1.79 which doesn’t seem bad for a hundred recipes. All the user reviews seem to be obsessed with Dave Lamb quotes though. If you do get invited to a dinner party and your host starts guffawing while playing sarcastic quips down your eyes you do have permission to show them the back of your hand.

PSPPhone

Battery. Anyone with an Android phone will relate to the dreadful battery life on the vast majority of the handsets. Sony Ericcson’s flagship device the X10 has a myriad of battery issues, illustrated with a quick search for ‘X10 battery life‘ You’ll be lucky to get a full day of use out of the phone before you need to connect it to a power supply. Internet browsing and apps seem to be the main culprits, throw in some fancy games and your phone will be dead before lunchtime. The solution? Time to invest in nuclear powered batteries or keep simple games on the phone, and more power hungry blockbusters on a separate dedicated device.

Heavy Rain Deleted Scenes

Warning, there will be spoilers for Heavy Rain. If you haven’t played it yet, run!

Anyone that has played through Heavy Rain will have noticed that a pretty major plot point is never explained – Ethan’s blackouts. Sony recently posted a new video on the American PlayStation Store showing off some content that was cut from the game, and a very strange explanation for the blackouts. I feel that cutting this explanation was a good thing as it seems a bit silly in the context of the game – and it also shows that David Cage still seems obsessed with cramming in fantastical elements into his games. There is also a deleted scene featuring the Killer and some interesting gameplay mechanics that were removed from Madison’s playable sections. If you don’t have an American PSN account you can see the clip below, credit to SolidusDave for uploading it to YouTube. Video is after the jump as there is a major spoiler in the thumbnail!
