Heavy Rain Deleted Scenes

Warning, there will be spoilers for Heavy Rain. If you haven’t played it yet, run!
Anyone that has played through Heavy Rain will have noticed that a pretty major plot point is never explained – Ethan’s blackouts. Sony recently posted a new video on the American PlayStation Store showing off some content that was cut from the game, and a very strange explanation for the blackouts. I feel that cutting this explanation was a good thing as it seems a bit silly in the context of the game – and it also shows that David Cage still seems obsessed with cramming in fantastical elements into his games. There is also a deleted scene featuring the Killer and some interesting gameplay mechanics that were removed from Madison’s playable sections. Free Back to the Future Episode

Those crafty buggers at Telltale Games are giving away the first episode of the Back To The Future game series away for free on PC for a limited time. To claim your code, click here, then you can come back and download the episode at the end of the year. The episodic game series, based on the hit film series, will be available on PC, Mac, iPad and PS3. The trilogy of films has also just been released for the the first time on Blu-ray – a nice stocking filler for the HD lover in your life.
Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright

If you are in need for a bed for the night you might want to give Capcom a shout as they have been letting lots of people into bed at the moment. Marvel & Namco have not been enough to satisfy so Level 5 is now clambering in to give us Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright, an awesome looking title for the 3DS bringing two favourite DS characters together for the first time. The game was announced in Japan, and there is no information on a Western release as of yet, though Capcom USA suggest posting on their blog will help chances of release. If that talk was true there would be dozens of Shenmue games out by now. No doubt the massive popularity of Layton & cult following of Wright will see this coming to our shores.
