Microsoft finally revealed the price of Kinect – and it’s not pretty at £130 and $150 in the USA. For the past couple of months, US retailers had made listings with the $150 price tag, but Microsoft said that these were not real prices, leading many online to think that the real price would be much cheaper. Back in 2008 after it was first shown to the public, there was even speculation the RRP would be around £60.
The £130 unit comes with Kinect Adventures, and there will also be a £250 bundle with a new Xbox 360 console that comes with 4GB memory to download games and make saves.
Kinect is due to hit stores in November, and we await Nintendo to announce a Wii price cut to take the wind out of Microsoft’s sails.
