The in-store signing session was once the home of musicians, but that crafty game industry has been muscling in on all the excitement. Square Enix are sending over Yoshinori Kitase, producer, and Isamu Kamikokuryo, art director, from the Final Fantasy XIII team to celebrate the launch of the game at HMV in Oxford Street London on March 9th. We are informed that Alex Zane will be ‘entertaining fans’ as well.
The first 50 to turn up dressed up in costume, will be given a soundtrack CD. You might want to get down here early for one of those, as I remember seeing people queuing up over 24 hours in advance to see Hideo Kojima at the same store when he was in town for a Metal Gear Solid 4 signing. On the other hand, it could be empty seeing as people have been waiting five years for the title and would be probably rather be at home enjoying the game than standing in line waiting even longer for it.
The event kicks off at 5.30pm and is free to everyone – though you will no doubt need to buy a copy of the game from HMV to get it signed. Start making your costumes now! Do you think Alex Zane will dress up?
