Play Street Fighter In The Streets

In news to upset Nintendo fans who want some Street Fighter IV action, the game is being ported to the iPhone which should work brilliantly seeing as it has no buttons.

The port brings a cut down roster of eight characters – Ryu, Ken, M. Bison, Chun-Li, Guile, Dhalsim, Abel and Blanka – and seven locations to fight in.

Final Fantasy XIII Week

Prepare to go Chocobo crazy as Final Fantasy invades ElectricSpectre next week. Every day next week I will be posting a special article about the Final Fantasy series leading up to a review of the latest in the series on Friday, March 5th.

There will be a look at how to play classic entries in the series, the best (or should that be worst) junk food choices to prepare for the new title, Cosplay galleries, a look to the future of the series and even some Leona Lewis! Then join us on the Friday for a massive review of Final Fantasy XIII, an epic people have been wanting for many years now.

If you don’t like the games, don’t worry , there will be plenty of other entries on other subjects that should tickle that bit under your elbow.

Nintendo Media Day

Metroid

Nintendo have been wining and dining in the nation’s capital today, and have revealed lots of release dates and info for a slew of brilliant looking games or the Wii.

• Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be hitting the Wii on June 11th, and Yoshi joins in the planet jumping fun.

• Metroid: Other M, is the new Metroid title developed for Wii through a collaboration by Nintendo and the world-renowned Team Ninja. The game looks at the classic franchise from a new perspective: While much of the game is reminiscent of 2-D side-scrollers, players can switch the perspective into 3-D at any time as they explore the twisting passages of a derelict space station and delve deep into a never-before-told story of bounty hunter Samus Aran’s past. It is launching in “Q3″ – so between July-September then.
