Rockstar have announced that the extra Grand Theft Auto downloadable content ‘The Lost & the Damned’ and ‘The Ballad of Gay Tony’ will be released on PC and PS3 at the end of March.
The extra episodes were released on Xbox 360 in 2009 and were the exclusivity was the subject of much online discussion. It first seemed that Microsoft had paid Rockstar $50 million for the episodes, but this was later to be revealed as a loan for development in return for having the content exclusive for a time period.
The episodes will be available to download through Games For Windows Live and PlayStation Network, and they will also be bundled on disc as ‘Episodes from Liberty City’.
Too little too late? Makes a bit of a mockery of the ‘Only On Xbox’ logo on the box.

Considering that traditionally GTA has always been a playstation franchise, and that MS managed to wrestle that away from Sony for GTA4, THEN produce two xbox exclusive downloadable addons, I’d say this is Microsoft squeezing the money and the console conversions out of these episodes, then throwing what’s left back to Sony.
WTF? GTA has always been a PC franchise. Console fanboys took that away from us true gamers.
