Yes, all of your dreams have come true – you can finally ride a Sonic the Hedgehog themed rollercoaster and sleep in a Sonic inspired hotel room.
Sega and Alton Towers have jumped into a (hotel) bed together and for three years there will be a Sega themed ‘Ride & Stay’ experience. The first of which will be based around the speedy blue hedgehog. Guests to the park can have a thrill on the Sonic Spinball rollercoaster, and then experience a rollercoaster of emotions (usually fear, optimism, joy, anger, sadness) playing the latest Sonic games in specially designed hotel room.
“We are delighted to be working with Merlin Entertainments and Alton Towers Resort” commented Amanda Farr, SEGA Europe UK Marketing Director. “Partnering Sonic with one of the UK’s most popular destinations for a family day out is a fantastic opportunity for people to engage, and have fun, with the Sonic brand. I’ll certainly be there at the launch of the rollercoaster to have my turn!”
No word however if she will be staying in the hotel room though.
