Rockstar have announced that the extra Grand Theft Auto downloadable content ‘The Lost & the Damned’ and ‘The Ballad of Gay Tony’ will be released on PC and PS3 at the end of March.

Is 3D gaming the future?

OK – so last night I got a chance to play around a bit with the Alienware OptXTM AW2310 3D moniter, (snappy name) courtesy of Dell UK. 3D is something that seems to be dividing the entertainment industry – Sky are placing some pretty heavy bets on it’s success, and after the flood of 3D televisions being shown at CES, it’s clear that whether we like it or not, it’s going to be forced down our throats over the next few years.
The monitor I was allowed to play with was very impressive indeed. 3D is hard to talk about because it is in essence such a visual experience, but the best I can do is to describe the experience as much deeper than I imagined. Today’s fancy-schmancy 3D doesn’t concern itself with popping out the screen, like some horrible fairground ride from 1995, but rather it extends the image inwards. A British digital marketing agency may have spilled the beans about the much hyped new device from Apple. Brandwith have announced on their website that they are launching apps for the Apple Tablet over the next six month for their clients including IKEA. Here is their preview video.

Halo fans rejoice – the Halo franchise will soon be expanding its reach to the silver screen, in the form of Halo Legends. A one-off screening event will take place on February 3rd, at the Moving Picture Company cinema on Wardour Street.

We like it when canon is expanded, (although opinion at ES-towers is divided as to the merit of the Star Wars extended universe) and we liked the Animatrix - so this series of seven short Halo-themed films is looking to be pretty exciting. Watch this space, and follow that Twitter account.
