Perhaps if we had a whip-round we could buy the cockpit and use it as the central prop for our own particularly harrowing version of television’s ‘Space Cadets’. All we need are fifteen impressionable members of the public, half a kilo of military-grade diamorphine and a six-pronged steel dildo. And tea. And sandwiches.
