Fan of ultimate fighting? Enjoy looking at naked people? Desperate to prove that you’re all..uhh..refined and shit..by supporting local theatre? I know I am, and when “Local Theatre” actually means “Girls spanking each other in my local pub” I know I’m onto a winner, so it’s off to the Tabard theatre to check out “Pinned Up”. Possibly the only burlesque show I can think off that’s directed by Shellshock 2’s fight coordinator!
“We are a 1940’s style group who blend the best of burlesque with the grr of stage combat”
Holy fucking shit. Check out the scariest plant (or fungus – whatever) on the planet. Cordyceps takes over the mind of an ant and forces it to do it’s bidding. Sort of like the brain slug from Futurama – but real. It actually makes my skin crawl. Now I’m afraid of plants. Great.
Even though Electric Spectre Towers is a pretty cool place to work (flying hollowed out volcano by the way) we are somewhat jealous of the above office.
It is a newly opened high-security data center run by one of Sweden’s largest ISPs, located in an old nuclear bunker deep below the bedrock of Stockholm city, sealed off from the world by entrance doors 40 cm thick (almost 16 inches)
Looks good, can withstand an atomic bomb, and powered by German submarine engines – sounds like my ideal woman.
Because there hasn’t been enough present awesome here for a while…The new trailer for Watchmen. A film about an alternate doomed future. LINK (Yahoo Movies)
According to one of the best trend spotting agencies in the world – The Trends Research Institute – the USA is pretty much screwed. Slowly but surely, the American Empire is falling.
Celente (CEO of The Trends Research Institute) says that by 2012 America will become an undeveloped nation, that there will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and that holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts.
It does sound a little far fetched – but the main revolutionary factor behind Celente’s prediction is that…
“The world’s middle classes might unite, using access to knowledge, resources and skills to shape transnational processes in their own class interest”
And that was predicted by the Ministry Of Defence when coming up with “Future Strategic Context” of the future world. And remember, the MOD haven’t properly lost a war since that silly tax scuffle in North America.
